11.22.08 Character Bios Update: Your character may now start off with TEN items. Please alter your Character Bios Items section. Also, a few new items have been added to the Item Index and more are to come. Again, we are open to just about any idea for new items, ports, and groups. Expect a Minor Port soon. I also apologize for my absence on the forum - a lot of things are happening around me including school finals and a funeral. Things may move a little slow, but I will get back to working on the forum ASAP. - Sheri

11.16.08 There are currently three openings for the Bank Admin Position. A few boards have been rearranged, but nothing big. Deciding on new items and we are very lenient on customs and ideas right now so if you have any ideas for items, groups, or ports, please feed us with your thoughts! The items list is growing very slowly. - Sheri

11.11.08 So, we have decided on a Bank System. It is a combination of the Board and Thread idea. And if this fails... Well, we've got another plan. So let's just see how it all works out! - Sheri

11.01.08 Well since our currency system has done itself over, we have come up with a new way to work the currency by trying to establish a set Bank system. Problem is we have to choose between two ways of organizing it... By board or by thread. Please give us your opinion on this issue. - Sheri

 What's Happening  Ports
Once we reach 20 characters, Nominations for Port Leader will begin. The three Major Ports are all open for candidates. As for now, all ports are running under NPC standard ruling. Stay tuned for more information!

For a limited time, we will be giving new characters 10,000 doubloons to start with instead of the standard 5,000.

Staff Positions are open (even to new members) no matter how long you have been here. This is only for a limited time. Before applying, you must have an active character and have made at least fifteen (15) IC posts.

Once we reach 25 members, we will start our Site Themes Contest. More information soon to come!

Sparring Rules

Sparring, by definition, means "to fight with an opponent in a short bout or practice session, as in boxing or the martial arts." These fights are considered OC and are usually for the fun of a fight. However, there are rules to Sparring:

1. Fights that go on in here are Death Disabled. All occurring fights will neither affect your character's story line, nor result in your character's death. If you lose an arm in a spar, you will still have one in IC. These are OC fights, and have nothing to do with your actual story line or character's well being. You don't need to run to the hospital because of these fights!

2. Be fair and respect your sparring partner.

3. Be realistic: NO power playing. NO god-moding. You may not block, dodge, or escape every single hit thrown at you. You may also not choose whether or not your opponent is hit. When typing your post, make sure you do not connect your attacks, and always allow your opponent a chance to defend themselves.

4. Mistakes happen, and sometimes we misread posts. Please read twice; even proofread your own posts before sending them.

5. No more than four characters in one spar. Things may get confusing or tiring if there are more than four fighting.

6. Liquid time is allowed: Though, we stress you to not be in more than two sparring matches at the same time. You may post IC while sparring.

7. Of course your opponent must have accepted your offer to a spar, but we still stress that you pick on those your own size!

8. Do not use weapons you cannot handle, nor weapons you do not own.

9. Be creative, experiment with writing and fighting styles. HAVE FUN!

If you fail to follow these rules, your first warning will be the threat of banishment. A second time, and you will be Temporarily Banned. A third time and you may be banned from the Sparring Ring.
