The Twisted Fates: Prologue Seer of the Twisted Fates
For an age and through the haze Awaiting things for days and days From the future to my ear Come to me from many a year
What do I hear, what do I see? What visions have now come to me? Tales of knights in armoured plate In my twist or signs of fate
A premonition whispers so Of a maiden fair and fro With flowing locks of golden lace The softest skin and porcelain face
But in the end a cold mist draws Of fiery fang and sharpened claws Eyes are broken, lost in rage Shall take the maiden to its cage
She, when there, shall lie in wait For that thing which she calls fate To save the maiden from discord A hero comes to draw his sword
But before words escape from me I have something left to see Is the truth found within this Or merely work of mental bliss

The Twisted Fates: I A Hard Choice
A royal man, his royal court From the East to Western port Dilemma stretched upon his brow A choice to make, but how, but how?
He paced across the stony floor Left then right, then left once more To the windows for the view Of which enjoyed by but a few
But for the problem now at hand Enjoyment he could not demand So hung his head and closed his gaze he action left him in a daze
When felt a touch upon his arm A gentle touch, not one to harm He turn about to lift his eyes Toward his queen, about to cry
He reached around and pulled her in To protect her from thoughts within Tight he held the warm embrace To shelter her from their disgrace
"What shall we do, I do not know" She whispered to his ear just so And eyes held closed for moments rest She leaned herself against her chest
He held his breath a took a pause What is the right thing for this cause Their daughters life or people's scourn For which the ancient witch did warn
She warned of bloodshed, warned of war Written to a harshened score Millions will be lost to slaughter Lest they give their only daughter
The princess who was very young With whim, they had thought then, to run But the thought they did dismiss The plan was sure to hit remiss
King of lands let out a sigh To make a call, the time was nigh He looked into the eyes of his queen And toward her ear to lean
"I've made my choice, my choice is this Our daughter we shall dearly miss But if she lives away from we Then she shall live, and we shall see"
"On the eve' of Winter's night We'll send her in the dead of night To a land so far from here She shall live, the world shan't fear"
The queen the heaved a frightful gasp And in her fingers she did grasp She pounded on her husbands chest She was so sad, but he knew best
They'd all agree, everyone For them all, to the last one And though the world shall lose it's heir In their hearts she shall be near

The Twisted Fates: II An Arbitrary Quest
Where have all the flowers gone? She seeks their morning sunshine song A youthful woman, but of end Nurtured flowers for a friend
The friend was someone dear to her The wraith of whom she shan't infer To find the flowers she must go What took them all, she just must know
She took a stick from off the shelf And some vitals for herself How long the journey is to take? On to success, without mistake
The sun was far as she crossed the field And to the night she would not yield In the distant wood there came A path to lead to river's fame
River's fame for fisher's joy To capture all the golden joy In the dark, the waters dance She only gave a slightest glance
The bridge she crossed so strong and new And over earth she stood anew Through the wood a little more Then in the distance where she saw
Straight beneath the light of moon Sat the spot of midnight croon Gone were all the vibrant flowers Taken by one with mystic powers
Why take just flowers from the patch The stems were surely there to match But still they only took the part Where life and beauty make a start
So the maiden stole a clue And knew just what she had to do The culprit left her quite a track And with her stick she'll get them back
A single petal to the West Said that's the path to travel best Holding hem of her cotton dress She ran to sort the sordid mess
Through bushes, roots and shallow streams The adventure of her dreams And with a smile parted lips She hummed while swaying youthful hips
After time the wood had cleared To the village that it neared "Someone here must be the thief That is my surest belief!"
As she strode the unpaved streets T'was only beggars hat she meets The rest were all so still asleep In their minds, their dreams so deep
The young girl stopped outside a shack Made of stone and painted black On the doorstep made of metal Sat a lone, red flower petal

The Twisted Fates: III Wonderous Depths
The door opened slowly with naught but a creak She held in her breath and dare not to speak Long depths within were dark as the night To give to the girl such ever-so-fright
The darkness, she felt, called out her name It gave her a chill and forget her game Though now felt compelled to turn on her back She reached right on out, into the black
The air stood still and cool on her face Filling the quaint quiet embodied space Closer she stepped into the cool air With trembling lip to bequeath quite a scare
Further from light she stepped with an eye Not give in ti fear, lest it shall try With an ironed fist and haunting glare While into the dark quiet halls she did stare
Overcome with a rush and a shivering hand Almost fell justice to darkened demand But remaining true to her ally she stood She hunched up her shoulders and pulled up her hood
In silence she moved with one steady pace What sight in the distance had made her mind race? Another of light, so small, but a speck Lift heart to the girl, such a shivering speck
And as she drew nearer, the light only grew 'Til as large as a space which she never knew The light brought on hope, renewed in her heart When she came to the source and drew breath with a start
What she saw was white dresses from fresh angel hair With diamonds and gold, she could only stare She reached out to touch, but before she could reach Arose from the corner a muttered, slurred speech
"Who dareth approach my cavern of riches? If it be-eth a dame I shall rip off he britches! But if be-eth a man who approaches my bed I shall jump on his back and rip off his head!"
It's high laughter screeched as she fast dived away Into the shadows, in where she shalt stay As around from the corners of silver and gold Came the foulest of creatures, a million years old
Its stomach was large and covered in hair With bloodshot red eyes and a powerful stare Large molten rolls of bubbling fat 'T'was naked apart from a polish mine cap
It had horrid tusks, all covered in rot A horrible sight, a horrible spot It held up it's snout and started to vent And curled up its lip as it picked up its scent
T'ward the shadows it streaked with quickening pace Though the she believed she was in safer place Into her presence, it pulled into sight And she gasped as the beast was thrust into light
It curled up its lip with a much wider grin As the girl looked around and he head was to spin "I was waiting for you," it said with a sneer And arose over her with a tooth and a leer
